The Dark Haven comic will be first included as part of a three different story book from "Matter Comics" and independently as a one story comic mid '08.

Update: Dark Haven

Dark Haven is coming along nicely. I had to redo all the original thumb nail pages from last month. It was too slow for a one shot. I needed to get to the action. Five boards have been penciled and inked. The Dark Haven "one shot" story is semi-completed. So far the issue introduces Jin (the main protagonist), a demon minion name Dars, and the demon minion's masters.

10/10/2007 Update on “Currently Untitled” Fantasy Comic Book .
First issue script is currently semi-completed, pending any rewrites and continuity updates by James (writer/ creator). Ten pages have been thumb nailed out for layouts and three pages have been drawn by me, Gus (artist), pending inking by Adam (artist) and/ or Kiris (artist) and coloring (yet to be determined). The book’s process has really going fast as I just got on board this already established fantasy comic book project (back stories, characters, etc.). I am really excited as I always wanted to part of the comic book industry and this is my small foot in the door so to speak. This book looks like a mid '08 release.

Update on “Dark Haven" and "Untitled War Book"
Side note: I am also currently writing up a separate comic book on my own entitled, “Dark Haven”. It will be a B&W ultra violent “one-shot” issue (24 pages) of sword & demons and possible an ongoing book, depending how well it is received. I will be doing all the art for it and possibly have Chris P. ink some boards (if he has time). I currently have five pages thumb nailed out with dialog and ready for boards.

Here is the introduction to Dark Haven:“Hope of Redemption”
“Many ages ago, in a small village lived a peasant named Jin. A man who has lost everything, his wife, his children and his will to live. Years ago before the curse murdered and devoured his family; Jin encountered an artifact unknown to him as the Black Demon Gantlet that granted his body with supernatural strength, but came with a horrible price. Jin can, to a limited degree, control the demon that resides in his arm, but when it hungers, he is powerless and it must feed on flesh. Jin relentlessly tried to used the cursed gantlet for good, but unknowing to Jin, the artifact was one of six pieces of armor that incased a demon, trapped for ages long past by a people long forgotten. The elders from a distant village informed that he must destroy the remaining artifacts of this split demon found in various death temples known as Dark Havens to put the curse to rest and release his slain family’s spirits from the clutches of darkness and ease their suffering. His journey starts here…”

Also have another book idea up in the air with graphic artist Chris P. from Pantoja Design about a Vietnam* or WWII* war grit-riddled book. The title is yet to be determined. The upcoming 2008 year looks like a good one for us.
