Just Mad Books Website - order my books & graphic novels and keep up-to-date on the latest news at the official website Justin's Etsy Shop - the place to buy my comics, original artwork, prints and various other creations I have been writing, drawing & self-publishing my own comics under the Just Mad Books name for about 8 years now. I am currently working on a five-issue scifi/drama series called Breathers. Previous to that, I created the genre-stretching adventure series Happy Town, which I've been working on since 2001. I have also created other books, as well. Both Happy Town-related (Happy Town Tales, The Waiting Sun) and non-Happy Town-related (Sorrel, Laundry Day, Last Breath).

Hiya Justin -
I'm the girl that kept coming back and eventually brought a copy of all the issues you had at SPACE. It was nice to meet you. I really enjoyed all the comics and I'm looking forward to any new stuff you'll be putting out. I told my friends at SPACE that it was the first time in a long time that I had that 'oh boy, new comics!' feeling, that feeling of excitement of getting to read the next issue. So thanks! :)

Justin,
I picked up Breathers #0, The Waiting Sun and Happy Town vol.2 from you at SPACE. Wanted to let you know that I thought all three were a great read! I'd been waiting two years to get my hands on vol.2. Worth the wait. Now, when do we get vol.3?
Thanks for putting out quality work!

Justin- thanks for the add. It was cool meeting you at SPX last year. I was going to come back and buy more stuff, but never got around to it. Thanks for the panel you drew in my jam---you can see it in my Sparky In Love gallery. |

Hey Justin, Was sorry to see that you weren't at SPACE this year but I can understand that APE may have been an even bigger venue. Glad to see on your main Comicspace page that you're working on Happy Town #3. I had gotten the impression that maybe you weren't going to be working on it anymore and I think that would be a shame as it's such a unique approach to the whole special powered persons thing. But don't get me wrong, I also love your more personal works as well. Keep up the good work and I'll keep buying it! 1 Reply [ Latest posted on April 29th, 2007 12:05 PM ]

Thanks Bruce. I still have big plans for Happy Town and am still working on it. It may be a little while until Book 3 is finished, however, since it's going to be HUGE! But, in the meantime, I'll be putting out some other books, like Breathers, that will be awesome. Hopefully, SPACE and APE won't fight over the same weekend next year, so I can make it to both. I hate those tough choices! |

APE is in San Francisco. SPX is in Bethesda, MD (just outside D.C.). And I am somewhere in between. |
