I've just begun the group. The member base is pretty diverse with enthusiasts and creators alike, but can change as the group goes on. I would like to schedule an outing with the group to your museum sometime in the future.

Your group sounds like a lot of fun. Is it primarily made up of comic readers or comic creators? I think there's some potential overlap/cross-promotion between your group and some of the events and activities that we host at the Cartoon Art Museum...

Your comics meet up group seems like a fun idea for Bay Area people. I'd be iffy about making it regularly, but with APE and Wonder-Con coming up in the Bay Area.. perhaps you could hold a get togethre around one of these events.
