Growing up Brandy was taught how to respect others and to take responsibility for her actions, while helping to take care of her five younger siblings. Brandy was home schooled, and during that time she discovered an attraction to art and literature. Soon she began to draw the world around her and in doing so she started writing and drawing under the name Keisha A. MaKainn to express herself and her thoughts.
