Thanks for visiting my ComicSpace page. I hope you're enjoying the minimalist aesthetic of my design. Of course, as the page evolves, I may choose to actually insert content of various sorts. I hope you'll bear with me as I explore the possibilities.
For now, I'll say this: I'm an illustrator who loves comics, and I'm currently developing a feature that I hope to have online in the very near future. Details to follow.
Your brother in "Bob," Ken

Time-Rider sees things the way a man from the 1940's would see it. He's a proud American from TN, and he's lost his brother to the attack on Pearl Harbor.
One thing we have to agree on if it weren't for the attack on Pearl Harbor it would have probably been a lot longer before America got into the war. The American people weren't looking for a fight, it found us. Of course FDR wanted to get into the fight against the Axis before Pearl, but most Americans were opposed to war before the attack.
Whether or not John Martin (Time-Rider) would have known about the political specifics or not wouldn't have mattered to a guy like him anyway. He lost his brother to an act of aggression. That's all I could see that he would focus on. At least from my own personal perspective I know I wouldn't care what the politics were at the The one thing I hope to achieve with my stories is to present an honest representation of the characters and how they might actually feel.
You know there is one question I have about using this site. Do we post replies on our pages, or go to the page of the person that posted the comment?
Thanks for taking the time to read my story. 1 Reply [ Latest posted on January 28th, 2007 2:33 PM ]

I appreciate your thoughtful reply. Your point about the perspective of a mid-century Tennesseean, faced with the circumstances of the Pearl Harbor attack, is well taken. I was less aroused by the limitations of his point of view, though, than by the obvious parallels with 9/11.
To say that the passion for vengeance that many Americans felt in its aftermath has proven unhelpful would be an extravagant understatement. At the very least, it's important that people educate themselves about the facts of world history, politics, and economics that led to the attack on the WTC, so that we can deal with that crime and its causes in ways that are more productive than dropping bombs on innocent families.
But of course your challenge, in attempting to dramatize the lives of your characters, is much more to understand their thoughts and feelings than to explicate the social milieu in which they exist. I haven't yet taken the time to read very far into your story-- I hope you'll forgive me, but I'm working hard on my own ripping yarn-- but so far, I'd say you're doing a good job of it.
I'm liking the artwork, too. Have you seen MISFIT'S JOURNEY? <http://www.benadamsarts.com/> It's another impressive 3D Webcomic, well-written and nicely visualized.
About replying to comments: I don't know what the "netiquette" would necessarily be, but it seems logical to me to reply on the same page where the comment has been posted.
Keep the faith, pal! Ken |

Funny you should mention zombies. The story I'm working on features them prominently. Nasty buggers, but who don't love zombies? |
