I've been a ComicSpacer for about a year now, and I'm glad to be here, and to be a part of this select network. There are literally thousands of like-minded people here, and for a comics fan, and artist, this is the playground of my dreams. Those who have been put off by MySpace, and the endless number of pornCam solicitations, have found a haven here.
However, I've found that some only choose to converse with those that they already know, and some of the ones who are already established in the field are definitely guilty of this, as well.
It takes a lot of courage for a stranger to reach out to someone whom they feel is an idol. When the communication isn't acknowledged, or reciprocated, a dream could quite possibly be crushed. Don't be guilty of this crime. As busy as some of us are, it probably takes less time to respond to a simple question, than it does to pound out a page of pencils! Take the time out to inspire someone with your words, as well as your gift! it would mean a whole lot to someone who's striving to be where YOU are in the industry.
