PRODIGALNINE.COM!hey everyone. I'm lucky enough to have done artwork on some cool books over the last few years. including DMZ with Brian Wood for Vertigo, Supermarket with Brian Wood for IDW, Amazing Fantasy with Sean Mckeever for Marvel, Doomed with Chris Ryall for IDW, Forsaken for Image, and an upcoming shot at Fallen Angel with Peter David for IDW. I'm also rolling up my sleeves on a pitch for a creator owned mini series. I spend some of my downtime painting, and had an incredibly fun solo show at Zeus Comics here in Dallas recently. i'm showing pieces fairly frequently in group shows in galleries in dallas as well. my favorite thing about doing comics, is the amount of constant learning that goes on. it's such a ridiculously versatile artform, and there's so many possibilities and paths to getting the job done. i'm still figuring alot of stuff out, but there's alot of satisfaction that comes with steady strides towards one day knowing what i'm doing. until then i'll just use really bright colors. iv'e got two rad dogs, Anderson Squarepants Murderclaws, and Buster Buckingham Jones. they run shit, i just hang out.

I continue to spread the word about your unique stylin! Too bad you don't illustrate &/or color all of Marvel's titles...I might actually buy a few then. |

I love your art, itīs so orginal, so organic and sincere, consider me a GREAT fan and that became real right after I finished reading supermarket, just great stuff....Oh, and that Zee standalone DMZ story made justice on what I expected. Keep up the good work!
Are you planning on putting up some comic galleries on your comicspace page?
Cheers! |

At risk of sounding like one of those obsessive dog fans who owns, like, commemorative plates and mousepads of certain breeds, Murderclaws is like the best name ever. Just sayin'.
Thanks for the friendin'! |

(Very belated) Thanx for adding me!
Nobody, and I mean, nobody else working in comics today can make cities and urban spaces come to life the way you do. Whether it's the blighted ruins of war-torn New York in the DMZ one-shot, or the hyper-kinetic sensory overload of The City in Supermarket, you always succeed at imbuing the urban landscape with a vitality and presence that makes it feel like a character in the stories it's featured in. Tey may not be places i'd actually want to *live* in, but whenever I visit them, through your artwork, they always leave a unforgettable impression.
(I can't wait for your inevitable future collaboration with Warren Ellis. Any chance of you guesting on an issue of Fell? I'd love to see how you depict Snow Town! Or even better, a Transmetropolitan one-shot.) |

Heard your doing Fallen Angel now. Cool, poop. The work I saw on Newsarama looked great. Rock on. You still owe us a New York trip since you said you were coming before and bailed! |

You have some amazing artwork! Thank you for adding me! I'm definately going to check out Super Market now...I've seen it plenty of times, because it just catches the eye, but haven't yet picked it up. :D |

Hey Kristian, loved your work on Supermarket (and the DMZ fill-in, for that matter). You've got a nice, clean, edgy style. My girlfriend liked it, too. |

Hey, a while ago when I was seriously considering going to SCAD, I ran across your name somewhere associated with the school during my research. Forsaken was coming out then, so I checked it out and I liked it alot. It's too bad it didn't last at least a little bit longer. One arc would've been nice. Oh well, it sounds like you have been busy since. good luck! |

Kristian....I really enjoyed Supermarket. I didn't know that you were in Amazing Fantasy 15 until I read your bio. If you ever make it out to Phoenix or want to show your art in our gallery area, drop me a line.

supermarket is colorful inspiration... it was one of the books that jumped off the shelf into my hands because it is one of the only books that took a style that I had been thinking would work and made it so. Well done... always looking forward to more. Thanks for the add. |
