Hey there!

I'm the writer/artist/creator of Kyle's Bed & Breakfast, a syndicated comic strip about a gay B&B that's been running since 1998. It currently appears in a number of gay publications across North America, including the New York Blade, Chicago Free Press, the Philadelphia Gay News, the Dallas Voice, New England's In Newsweekly, the Washington DC Blade and a buncha' others. You can also view it online at my website, which is: http://www.kylecomics.com Or, check out the latest episodes here in my ComicSpace gallery, which you can access on the upper-righthand corner of this page!

There's also a book out containing the first 5 years of the strip, called, (what else?), Kyle's Bed & Breakfast, (OK, I'll have to get creative on the title for the second volume). Published by Kensington Books, and available in bookstores all over and at Amazon, BNN, TLA, etc. It actually was a
Lambda Literary Award finalist for Best Humor Book in 2005, (good Lord, I'm starting to sound like I'm on a job interview here!).

If you haven't seen the comic strip before, it's an ongoing story of a diverse, and often hunky, group of gay guys living in a B&B in a little harbor town called Northport. Main characters include Brad, the closeted pro-baseball player....Lance, the ruthless ad exec...Richard, the gossip-queen of the local gay bar scene...Eduardo, the struggling college student...and Kyle, the 30-something guy who tries to maintain a level of calm, (nearly impossible), in the house. There's lots of laughter, romance, and the occasional tear. I think you're liable to become addicted to the comic strip with the best hot buns, as well as pancakes & waffles, this side of the Rockies!

Now, all of this shameless plugging aside, what can I tell you about myself? Well, I live in Northport, Long Island, NY, (just like the B&B guys!), and I've been a huge comic book fan since pre-adolescence. Some of my favorite titles are Legion of Super-Heroes,(especially the Grell/Cockrum years, as well as the Levitz/Giffen years. I think I'm one of the only people in the galaxy who actually liked Mike Grell's infamous Cosmic Boy costume!), Teen Titans, (new, old, or whatever configuration they happen to be in, although I hate the fact that Superboy was killed in Infinite Crisis), Green Lantern, (Hal Jordan, my original comics love-crush from the time I was 12 years old), most anything Superman-related, (yes, I am even a fan of Krypto! And I'm not ashamed to say that!), and I'm really loving the new relaunch of Justice League, (anything that features Red Tornado in a key leading role is A-1 in my book! But is it healthy for me to have a crush on an android? Then again, I guess he's not really an android anymore. Oh, wait...he is again!). What else about me? Oh, I love Vermont, (the state, not the comic book...not that there is a comic book called "Vermont"). I travel up there pretty regularly and hope to relocate there someday soon.

Hey Greg, Just voted for your entry over at Lamba Legal. For me it was almost a tie between yours and Matt Bors, but you squeaked by. :-)

No, you are definitely not the only one who enjoyed Rokk's bustier costume. ;) Grell made eyecandy for everyone, eh?

Check us out! Gaywebcomics.com is a portal for artists. The portal and the artist's pages income generator will be advertisers. There is no budget to pay artists to join the portal. It will have to be restricted to those 18 and over because there will surely be some naughty bits, but right now that is the only restriction on the slate. I am just excited about getting the site up to see what evolves. My aim is to have a broad cross-section of comics, art and humor. I am hopeful that the site will appeal to the whole GLBT community. Artists will even be able to accept advertising at their site on the gaywebcomics.com portal.

I knew I had to add the creator of Steve the (reluctant) Angel when I saw you here! Hope you'll get back to (what was) "Wingin' It" some day. I look forward to sampling the "B&B." Thanks for adding me. ... PS. I also liked Grell's mid-rise look for Cosmic Boy!
