Brad, great pic of Green Arrow in your profile pic. Anyone who's a fan of Mike Grell is a friend of mine!

What beautiful artwork! Thank you for the friend request, and for showing your great talent.

Todd,

Thanks so much for your kind words about Kyle's B&B, and for buying the book, too! I really appreciate it. And I look forward to seeing your work!

Thanks, Clarke, for the "befriending", and for your kind words about Kyle's B&B!

Hey,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you; thank you for the kind words about "An Angel's Story", (thanks for remembering it!). Not sure when or if I will ever get back to it, as "Kyle's B&B" keeps me quite busy. However, Steve the angel shows up periodically in "Kyle's B&B", so he's not gone completely! Really liked your Dawnstar/Mon-El story, (Mon-El was always a favorite of mine!).

Jenn,

Yay! Welcome to ComicSpace! I think it is disturbingly hilarious that in your User Tags, "violent" is followed by "(help)" in a smaller font. I'm going to miss seeing you around the bookstore, (99.9% of the people reading this will have no idea what that means), but at least we can keep in touch through here!

In less than 10 minutes of reading your blog, I can safely say this is the best blog in the known universe, (and perhaps the unknown, too). Wow. And you have a link to my comic strip, too! Thank you! Looking forward to reading much more of this in days to come.

Thanks! "Kyle's Bed and Breakfast" is by far my favorite web comic.

Joe,

You are a saint to all of us gay comics creators, (and fans). Happy Holidays to you!

Greg, So very late in getting back here and replying. I hope your holidays were wonderful or at least with minimal drama. :-) I was in a Borders last week, saw your book on the shelf, and thought, "It's nice to know the guy who made that..."

[ Posted by KyleComics to mikegrell on Jan 7th, 2007 4:02 AM ]...

Mike,

As a kid in the mid-70s, I was struck by the variety of titles your work would unexpectedly show up in, such as Batman Family, (Robin & Batgirl), the Atom or Green Arrow & Black Canary back-ups in Action Comics, Aquaman back-ups in Adventure Comics...the list goes on. (And of course, your stellar work in LSH). It was always a thrill, opening one of those books & finding you were the artist. It was a solid guarantee that this was going to be a great read. Thank you for your amazing contributions to the field,

My best,

Greg Fox

(A belated) thanks for the add, and best of luck with the magnets.

Long live the Legion!

"... Whoops! Wrong Profile Site!"

You are very funny, dude! Glad to be among your friends.

A belated thanks for the add. I loved your "redhead countdown" on your blog! Although, I wish Sun Boy or Lightning Lad were there. And here's a question...what do you think about Wally West, who inexplicably went from having brown hair for many years to suddenly having red hair in the middle of the New Teen Titans run? (Did he use "Sun In"?).

Hey, Brian, thanks so much for the kind mention of Kyle's B&B in your profile...it is much appreciated. Oh, yeah, and I'll second that "WOOF"!

[ Posted by KyleComics to Cattaur on Jan 4th, 2007 12:52 AM ]...

Hey, you're welcome for the add. And thank YOU for the link to my comic strip in your profile, that is very cool & much appreciated! Oh, and about those Mike Grell Legionnaire days, yes, that Cosmic Boy outfit was hot, and I think just about every other Legion guy he drew was steaming, too! (I think I fell in love with his Mon-El, Timberwolf, Element Lad, Lightning Lad & Sun Boy at various times!). And Dave Cockrum was pretty awesome, also!.

Hey, you are very welcome for the add...and thank you so much for the kind words about my comic strip....and yes, of course I am a huge Legion fan, (ever since they were running around in those skimpy Dave Cockrum-Mike Grell costumes. Which I loved, btw! ). Long live the Legion!

Now that you mention it, that Cosmic Boy outfit comes to mind, haha. I'm sure you get compliments all the time, but I found a collection of your comic at Barnes & Noble one time and I actually sat there and read the whole book on the spot. Your characterization is fantastic!

Hey, thanks for the add! By the way, I saw U2 in NYC in 1984 on the Unforgettable Fire tour and, well....yeah, it was pretty unforgettable, (in a good way, of course!).

Oh man Greg I would have killed to see them way back then. The earlier stuff was great. The 90s made me a fan. I've felt the more recent stuff has been "meh".

[ Posted by KyleComics to ericshanower on Dec 17th, 2006 12:55 AM ]...

Hey, Eric,

I think your work is magnificent, (we actually met briefly, way back in the early '90s, though I doubt you remember it!). My best wishes to you in current & future endeavors,

Greg

It HAS been an awfully long time, hasn't it? Doing great here; hope all is well with you!
