Laburrini
My name's Sarah Burrini and I'm a freelance comic book writer, artist and illustrator from Germany who is also working in the animation industry. I already published a few storys in German comic book anthologies, I had my own cartoon series in the German MAD Magazine and I'm a member of the very cool PonyXPress collective. Hopefully this year my current project will find its way to the printing press. Some of my favorite artists are: Gilbert&Jaime Hernandez, Kyle Baker, Evan Dorkin, Peter Bagge, David Lapham, Sam Kieth and Mike Mignola, but that's just a very short list... My current project is entitled "Life's no pony farm" and deals with a young girl who aims to be a professional writer. Day after day she sits behind her computer trying to write the ONE novel which the world is waiting for. If only there weren't so many distractions as relationship tragedys,exhausting friendships with hyperactive people, big city stress and other ordinary trouble. After that it's nearly no big deal that she's living together with a talking mushroom, a pony and a huge elefant who goes crazy about Miles Davis. "Life's no pony farm" is about following your own star and finding your place as a small particle in a big big world. Ha! Endlich hab' ich zumindest mal Bildchen online gestellt. Aber eigentlich nur, weil ich gerade überhaupt keinen Nerv habe, mich in mein morgiges Fach "Stilistik" einzuarbeiten...grrrr, Sie schulden mir mindestens ein lecker Eis, wenn's im Sommer warm wird, Frau Burrini! Ich und Manga... ;-) |
