Laura Watton is one of the founding members of the leading UK manga group, Sweatdrop Studios. She has been drawing her own comics since 1994 and was one of the winners of the 2006 Neo Magazine UK Manga Competition.

Laura has also contributed to numerous magazine articles and has been published in Shout Magazine through DC Thompson. She has also illustrated for Just 17 Magazine and has created numerous greetings card designs. She has also contributed illustrations to various “How To Draw” manga-styled tutorial books, published by Ilex Press, Harper Collins amongst others.

A graduate in Illustration and Animation, Laura is a 2D animator and pixel artist for a Cambridge-based online games company. In her spare time, she enjoys painting with acrylics and watercolours; she also enjoys honing her great 1337 granny skills through knitting, crafting and sewing together small and stupid things, as well as being a gamer and collector and of various video game consoles.

In October 2008, Laura's work will be published in the "Mammoth Book of Zombie Comics", story by Andrew Davies. This anthology is edited by David Kendall.
