I'm new to ComicSpace and comics in general - I've been creating a semi-autobiographical web comic for about a year now - Peeling Onions. I'm a writer, an illustrator and an art instructor and my day job is as something completely different, but equally worthwhile as it keeps me in my home and buying art supplies.

I'm looking to make use of this space to network with Toronto based indie comic creators - especially the ladies - GO WOMEN IN COMICS!! I'm impressed with the level of professionalism and finish to the content posted and am excited to be so inspired!!

Hey Lezley, thank you for your comments.

You have some pretty good work going on yourself. I really like the ink wash look that you're using. Also, it seems that you're using the medium in a somewhat cathartic way. I think that's great. I always enjoy some good symbolism, even if some of more profound meanings get passed me now and then.

I also think it's great that you're encouraging female voices in the medium. God knows it could use it.
