I'm 21, surprisingly enough not an art major, I have creepy dolls, a sewing machine and storylines many might not be completely comfortable with. I don't even have a toehold in the industry and any help is accepted ^^ I am this close to graduating with a BA in anthropology, and I'm seriously considering trying to go into comics. probably while in grad school. (makeing a pitch and making a proposal seem about the same, and I probably have the same chance of getting it accepted.)) currently I work mostly in pencil or digital, because I'm sick of inking. I have a stack of scripts and not enough time in the day to draw them all, but goddamit I'm gonna try. currently I'm working on a large project at comic genesis called Codename9. which has been discribed as "a good dramatic comic with art that doesn't do it justice." not bad for my first serious try XD a smaller project Appeler A Toi might be published in a zine, but I doubt it will work out so I might put it up here. it is about a mage student's search and relationship with a homunculous for his graduate thesis. so far the feedback from the script has been good, so keep your eyes out for it. and a much much smaller project called the missing twin might be done in random spurts in between everything else. strictly for those that like crying while reading something. it's a VERY dark romance. heee. my email is lilmissmaya at gmail.com. if you ask nicely I'll give you my AIM sn, and I'm pretty talkative. you can see my art and a few scripts at http://lilmissmaya.deviantart.comand I'm in y!gallery under the same username, that's where my boylove scripts hide out. and I'm thinking about looking for illustration or drawing jobs. as long as I can keep up with school.... and as long as it pays. I have student loans you know! if you are in need of an artist, I will provide links to artwork if you ask ^^ I can color, ink, and pencil, and I can use a variety of tradition medias like watercolor, marker, and colored pencil.

HI! I'm a big Final Fantasy: Advent Childern fan too. I especially liked your Yazoo- Kimono piece. And I'd like to attend more Anime Cons. I've only ever sat @ one when I was trying with my Ningyo Project. This year I'm taking a risk with a far out there Project that I can handle alone so my confidence isn't what it should be. Your "She's Mine But" piece also caught my eye, but what was most impressive was your prolific-ness (not a word but ya know what I mean, heh!) That's the most important step. You have to draw or write every day. Draw when your sick or well, and plan to draw on your death bed. I won't talk you ear off, but I'll write again soon ;0)Alitha |

Hi there! We’re starting up this year’s Small Press Idol…and wanted to invite you to the grand unveiling of this year’s Guidelines. I apologize for the all-in-one nature of this.
