Dear ShaunWard,
You're certainly welcome! But can I admit I don't know what for? Oh well, maybe you're being sarcastic, but I'll take the thanks anyhow.
So, what kinda stuff you into reading? I'm pretty much into Vertigo & weird shit like that...but I have an open mind. If something is well-written, then I'll probably like it - for example, there's some X-Men I've really loved, some I ve enjoyed, others I couldn't get ten pages read...& yes, I flipped ahead to see if things got better. They didn't.
So, my opinion? A lot in the writing, all in the art's support of that writing, if you get me. I mean, a well written storyline can be sunk if the art is off on an agenda all its own, capische? & vis-versa.
I'm a voracious reader of non-graphic novels, as well. When I read a comic, I want that heady experience of story & art...well I was going to say something crude, but I'll say "interacting" instead.
Gotta go. Single Mom & all, must go awaken little Wolverine...
Hope to hear from you soon.
Love,
Lily

Happy to. Shall I send it off in a bottle onto the seas, or what? Let me know what form of transport you'd prefer!
Love and Locks,
Lily

Let it adrift in an air current, it will make it to me soon enough.

Hi Lily, Thanks for the add.

Not too up on Vertigo, but one I'm hearing good things about and mean to check out is THE OTHER SIDE. Feel free to swing by my blog (in my profile), and kick the tires to get more reviews/recommendations.

Well, let me know how I can. I should add that I am literally a welfare single Mom, so money is tight. I will give what I can, but if you are at all affiliated with the Newark Museum (in Newark NJ), which has its own old comic collection, would volounteer work be possible? Or would volounteering in any other capacity be doable? I'd like to help, but I'll need to help outside the box as they say...please let me know. Oh, and if you really want me to say "hi" to a gorgon for you, I will, but aren't there inherent dangers in that? Say, with your greeting, couldn't she take your soul? Must read up on gorgons, I think. Yes, I am joking, but only a little.

Oi, did I get into it with my Mom over this whole deal - my picture on the net! Horrors! Didn't bother pointing out said pic was the work of my son on his super cheapo kiddy digital camara, while not wearing his glasses, and that therefore said photo gives only a vague idea of what one looks like (though aside from the blur and cut off head - espescially the cut out hair, my crowning glory, for sweet Odin's sake, even D.(my son, only 5) worships it - it's not that bad a pic. Kinda Renoir-looking, and I love Renoir) Oh, and don't think me immodest, it's just that I believe in having some things to feel confidant about, looks-wise, espescially in the States, and I am confidant about my hair.Wouldn't dye it ever again - naturally it is what I call "tiger striped", bit of red, blond and all shades between. Nor will I ever cut it again. It stays a tiger striped lion mane, that's that.
Dear, I seem to have blathered on about hair for a while, eh? Sorry, boys. Making a point, though a weak and unimportant one.
What I'm really commenting here about is that I need people to talk to about-well, all sorts of stuff. Comics, yes. If you pick apart your reading material (books count, too), I'm tha gal to compare notes with. If your thoughts on such pickings lead you down interesting paths in your head, I want to talk about that too.
And that, dear friends, is all I have to say. Really.
