We are a professional studio located in New Jersey. Currently we are working on global manga with Tokyopop Germany. The two series, Evergrey and Yaru, consist of each three books.

Evergrey is a tragic romance about the forbidden love between a Szandor a Nostromo Vampire and Kyrania, a Sairim Witch. Fantasy, Gothic, Romance with a touch of Shonen-Ai. The Live Journal of the characters continues the story and introduces the emotional development of the characters.

Yaru is a supernatural romance in which Rae, a young girl, opens a door to the Spirit World using an ancient Egyptian Ouija board. She enrolls three ghosts, Beezer, Ohm and Victoria-Rose into helping her get Billy, the boy of her dreams. Rae forgets the third rule in using the board "Close the Door With Good-bye!" and in doing so she finds she shares a cursed past with the nefarious Pharaoh, Ramun Kalid, an Egyptian prince who crossed oceans of time to find his princess! Fantasy, Romance, Supernatural, Humor.

Hi, how are you? Our studio recently put a new site up. pencily.com is a great source of inspiration for illustrators, animators and designers, so I hope you find it as useful as we do!

All the best,

Hi David and thanks for your comment!
I just wanted to say that I'm not a close friend of Rainer (just to avoid a misunderstanding), but we met once and had a very nice talk. That's when he told me about your work and your publication at Tokyopop.
I'll look out for it next time I'm in the comic book shop!
Cheers, Sarah

Thanks! We work like mad dogs...never stop, no kidding. We also mix it up, advertising, comics, animation, music CD covers, book design...and a lot more, it is good to do different things, we will always find art related work. We also reflect upon past works...it helps in moving forward if we see where we need improvement...and we listen to others both accomplished and those striving for their interpretation of greatness...I guess we listen to everyone!

Thanks! Penciling, for me, is a most definite high point! After writing out the story and seeing all those characters, backrounds, lighting...etc moving around and talking in my mind, I get so pumped up to crank it out, make it happen! I think of myself as a story/script writer, casting agent, director, actor, do call backs person, lighting person, costume and set designer...like creating a movie I guess.

Haha. You sound like myself. I guess working in commercials makes it hard not to think that way when your working on comics. Thanks for shooting me a message on my page as well. Your compliments are much appreciated!

thanks! that is exactly what it is...gothic and romance, NOT in the cheeZey meaning of the word either! vampires, witches and humans...no vampire hunter-shonen thing, though there are some good fight scenes between the witches and vampire covens. there are a few subplots pulling it all together. these pieces are from book two of Evergrey. david is a master of composition, detail and layout. he's been creating and selling comic books since he was 14. he grew up in switzerland and had access to many comic books...kiosks + public transportation = comic heaven!

Congradulations! I wish I had your strength to strike out on my own. I'm just a dependant Comic Book Grunt. Is your book available in America?
