Hello friends, fans, peers and the like. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Nathan Thomas Milliner and I am one fourth of the independent comic company Feral Comix, based in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2003, Feral Comix released their first comic anthology "FERAL COMIX PRESENTS" to the world with three new exciting titles, NIGHTMERIKA (Now known as Scorched Earth Chronicles), DIRTY APES and my book, THE MALEVOLENT which I had been working on since 1996. 3 anthologies later I decided to make the jump to publishing my own books and went for the trade biz. In July of 2006 I released my first trade paperback of THE MALEVOLENT titled "THE BOILER MORTICIAN" Here's a review that was written about the book by Taylor Dotson, creator of "NOTORIOUS BLUE":
"The Malevolent, in retrospect, is an amazing work of art, perhaps visually one of the most stunning works in the past decade. The storyline is flawless; the characters so characteristically flawed in their own emotional turmoils, making this a divine work worthy of even the most notable artists. Milliner's use of light and architecture, combined with a sundry mix of characters, provides a tale with eloquence and vulgarity, forming an urban novel of life, death, love, loss, and redemption. This is a sure read for any comic book fan who enjoys a work of brilliance."
Book One is now available to buy from www.comixpress.com. It collects the first 4 chapters of the overall 30 chapter saga (which will be released in 9 trade paperbacks)--the 108 page book sells for $10
BOOK TWO: "LILY'S SILENCER" is being released in the Spring of 2007. It clocks in at around 92 pages. I am currently drawing BOOK THREE: "MS. VENGEANCE" for a Winter 2007/08 release.
Feral also released a fourth issue of FERAL COMIX PRESENTS in July 2006 that contained two new titles, HUMAN ZOO by DIRTY APES creator Lee Carcara and a new story of my own (since Malevolent was being printed on it's own) called FINAL DAYS, an 8-part story about revenge. FCP#4 is available to buy from www.comixpress.com for just $2!!
The Malevolent is my baby and I am here to stay. All 9 books will see print and I hope you all can enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them. It promises to be one hell of a ride through violence and drama in the tradition of Frank Miller's SIN CITY, James O' Barr's THE CROW and Alan Moore's V FOR VENDETTA.

I haven't visited comicspace in a while and I have done some work over the month of May that I figured I'd throw in a gallery and share with you guys...all kinds of stuff.

Lily's on the defense in this second trade of the series when an ex-lover and his friends hire a professional assassin to take her down for good after she humiliates them in an almost comedic street fight. Plus an ending no one will forget!

Our hero, Manson has his work cut out for him in this first trade paperback where he must protect a stripper from a serial killing mortician, fight off a vicious street gang who want him dead, and try to save the life and soul of his sister Lily.

Nausoleum is The Feral Comix Halloween Special Anthology.
It will be released in the Fall of 2007 and will feature 3 stories from three of Feral's most twisted creators. A tale of survival, a zombie tale and the origin of the sinister Dr. Splatter.

THE FILMS OF QUENTIN TARANTINO
Quentin Tarantino's films have changed my life creatively and in tribute I decided to draw a series of original peices of art that capture his films. More drawings to come in the future.

BALLPOINT HORROR & OTHERS
These very quick freehand sketches of characters, actors and scenes from famous horror films were done in ballpoint pen (which most know is a hard medium to draw with)--I did these very quickly to sell as extra goodies as a horror con in 2006.

Thanks for adding us, Nate. It took me a few days to notice because we're a little preoccupied with trying to get a new mini comic ready in time for Emerald Con. I'll put it up in the gallery when it's done.
The Malevolent looks like an interesting read. I've been thinking about playing around with that prose format you used in the intro or something like it in a new story but I'm not sure exactly how I want to do it yet. I look forward to reading the rest next week when I have a little more time.
