Um, if you go to the actual BAT-BLOG we post wallpaper every Wednesday. We called it "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"!! If you go into the archives you can see a ton more wallpapers that are not at the wallpapr page...thanx again for the comments!!

The latest podcast had a debate over the legitimacy of comics as viewed through the eyes of comics "outsiders". I think an important aspect was overlooked. While Joe Sixpack might still think of comics as strictly for kids, I think the actual creators have long since changed their minds--and that's part of why we're in this current creative renaissance.

Imagine a successful film or TV creator deciding to write a comic book back in the 1980s--it would never have happened back then because it would have been viewed as a step down. Today, creators from all kinds media--TV, movies, novels--are chomping at the bit to write comics (think Joss Whedon, Allan Heinberg, Brad Meltzer, etc.) and are proving that creators can move among different media types without being stigmatized. Much like film actors crossing over to television, creators from Hollywood and elsewhere are crossing over into comics. Today, it seems the creators understand it's about storytelling more than the vehicle used to communicate the story.
