| Header: | Jody Parker's "Earthsons" Recommendation | ||
| Bulletin: | Admittedly, these types of tales aren't always my cup of tea. I'm not the hugest sci-fi/fantasy comic book fan in the world, unless there is a significant amount of humor involved like in "Myth Adventures". I tend to prefer "funny animal" or horror stuff in my comic books and of course, humor. Yet, I was strangely intrigued by Jody Parker's "Earth Sons" concept of swiping DNA from animals to make a new super species that survives beyond the end of the world as we know it. I like how everything looks. I like the pacing of the stories. I especially like the action sequences. The characters and dialogue seem believable and the series has potential of expanding and improving over time. Jody has a very fertile imagination and is someone to pay attention to in the next few years, as exciting things are coming from her, including her other series "Dark Labyrinth" also from Dark Ocean Studios. You can read more about Jody and her work at her ComicSpace or her website at Dark Ocean Studios. |
