I want to be a Stormtrooper!

Bulletin:

Okay, I admit it, I want to be a Storm trooper. Yes, I'm the first to point and laugh at the guys and gals that insist on throwing together a badly sewn cosplay outfit of a character they're obviously not physically fit enough to portray but I've always had a soft spot for the hundreds people that get to dress up like the Imperial troopers I've grown to know and love.
I'm a Star Wars geek through and through with all the action figures and trappings that go along with it but being a member of the ivory clad infantry of death has escaped me. To strap on that hard shell armor and speak through a speaker saying things like "These aren't the droids we're looking for" and....."these aren't the droids we're looking for". Yes, they were often very bad shots and died by the dozens but I don't care. Stormtroopers were nameless faceless brutes so in a sense, we could all be Stormtroopers. That trooper that got shot by Han as the escaped the Death Star or that trooper that guarded the ramp to the shield converter while Obi-wan easily sneaked by? That could be you, or you, or me!! We can all be Storm troops! We are all the sheep to an Empire we neither know nor understand but follow blindly...mostly because it's a steady paycheck and provides health benefits!
One day my dream will come true and I will walk proudly into the local Kroger grocery store to pick up my loaf of bread and gallon of milk! Let them stare and gawk fore I will hold my head up proudly as a speak through my badly understood speaker system- "I AM A STORM TROOPER AND TODAY IS DOUBLE COUPON DAY"!!!
