I don't know if Waid is playing it safe or not. I'd say 'not' simply because his take on the 31st century and on a lot of the Legionnaires is proving to be unpopular with more than a few readers. The title is a slow-moving one, though, and that has been a problem (although it looks like it's picking up now). I'm not sure we're going to get any radical alterations to the Legion concept, in fact, I suspect that the next couple of years will take it closer to the traditional Legion concept. But, I hope, in a good way.

Nice job on The Cape Symposium. I hope it takes off because it seems like it's the place for just the sorts of conversations I want to have.
