Josh,
$5/Month is a steal of a deal to sell original art on ComicSpace. That's less than the cost of a Big Mac Meal-- right? Jeez.
Anyway, thanks for all you're doing for this community. Whenever I get around to selling my "babies" (original art) ComicSpace will be their main hangout.

Thanks, Max. I plan to add more "Primo" features, like the ability to sell comics for self-publishers. I need to hire a few programmers. Can't... Keep... Up. |

I saw your work on Drunk Duck...
...your storytelling, pacing and cartooning skill are fantastic. I hope that you keep at it for a long time and tell some wonderful stories. You're off to a phenomenal start.
Hope you had a great birthday!

Thanks for the add & the kind words.
Your FoToonz (tm) are wonderfully rendered and quite silly. 1 Reply [ Latest posted on May 4th, 2007 12:33 AM ]

I think it is so COOL that you listen to Barry Manilow when you're drawing. 2 Replies [ Latest posted on March 18th, 2007 8:33 PM ]

lol... thanks. I wasn't sure what reaction I was going to get for that list, but for the most part, it's been great. I'm a fan of his old work, for the most part. I like everything up to "ships." My favorite album of his is "Even Now." It gets me in the mood for writing romance... so does Norah Jones and Alicia Keys or Luthor Vandross puts me there also.
If I'm inking or shading though, I like something faster... like Talking Heads or Shiny Toy Guns. It keeps me on a good pace as I do my shading. |

Glad you've gotten good responses on the Drawing Listening List.
When I'm drawing BLINK, I listen to a lot of 60's, 70's & 80's rock/pop stuff. However, when I write-- I won't listen to much of anything (at least not vocals!) I need to focus on the nitty gritty.
Thanks for replying, love your work-- it's very inspirational.

Dominic--
Thanks for your appreciation of my work! Your work is gorgeous. Some of it reminds me of Windsor McCay.
High Noon Presents looks cool. I like how the website displays the issues. Pretty slick.

I remember getting Flytrap (episode 1) from you at a Mid-Ohio-Con. It still looks great. So-- when are we going to see episode2? 1 Reply [ Latest posted on February 23rd, 2007 8:35 PM ]

Bob--
Thanks for pushing us Columbus Comix people to jump on with ComicSpace.
As of today, we're at three dozen, but I KNOW there are more artists and writers to be found here!

Justin,
Just read "Dark Winter" and it's sadly poignant close to where I am right now in my life. (Thankfully, no dead bodies of young ladies, tho!)
Enjoying your work, Max |

Wow.
I've known about MySpace for a long time, have a page there...but it's too intimidating. Too many options. I draw comics, dammit!
Thank goodness for you and ComicSpace! I'm finding new friends & meeting old ones everyday.
You rock.
(Hero Xero rocks, too.)
