just wanted to let ya know that we posted on lj about shogun, the french manga anthology...u also worked on that...i don't think the pages u worked on are posted, but you can see the first 5 pages...keep working like a mad dog on ur book, it's so weird and cool to see the progression in the work. i look at all those pages i did only a year ago...much improvement!

Er, besides the archives of course. That would be it...lol. I almost forgot how much it needs fixing. >.<!

Hey! Remember that layout overhaul I said I was gonna do? Well, now I did it. Still needs touchups here and there, but it's better now... (a little genre-misleading... oh well <3)

Hi there! We’re starting up this year’s Small Press Idol…and wanted to invite you to the grand unveiling of this year’s Guidelines. I apologize for the all-in-one nature of this. At this time, individuals and teams have a little over a month to get things together and be ready to post their Round 1 entries. Round 1 will last till March 25th. It’s a solid window to get a project together and qualified for Round 2 past our judge panel. If you are interested in being a contestant, this is fair warning to get a project going!
If you are a news outlet or resource of any sort, we invite you to help spread the word about Small Press Idol, and get on the official Sponsors and Supporters list on the Idol Main Page. Traditionally, the page has gotten hundreds of thousands of hits a month for the 5 months the contest runs. All we ask in return for the link placement on our prominently placed list, is a link back in some way that is fairly prominent, and that you indeed cover the contest if you are a news site. You can contact us about that right from the guidelines page.
Just want to watch the show? That’s great! Now is time to sign up at the site so you can VOTE in the rounds to come, and post comments about your favorites! We’re expecting hundreds of contestants this year. It should be a lot of fun!

/Idol07/index.html

Hope this message reaches you in the spirit it was intended, you are welcome to ask questions, and otherwise make sure this is for real. This is the fourth year for the SPI. Last year’s contest pages are still online. So that’s what this is about, hope it interests you!

your request is fulfilled.

after your comment on my facial shading tones, I did them this week in greyscale instead. Would like to know what you think if you have the time, i'm not sure if it doesn't make the contrast as bit harsh for skin...

Was that 'gorgeous' or 'glorious'? ;)

Thanks for the praise. Hope you get the second volume too!

TY TY Christi... I mean MAYSHING, Yea I really dig your art. I have Painter ver 8 and it's pretty good I like it alot. I don't really know the diff between 8 and 9 though. i can appreciate the time it takes to create work like yours. I use good ol Photoshop and I've been trying out dogwaffle too, you should try it it's alot like painter. Anyway, keep on poppin out these great pieces! can't wait for more!!!!

[ Posted by Shojinstudios on Dec 14th, 2006 10:21 PM ]...

Ty for the add Christine! Nice paintings. very soft and ethereal. Do u use painter, photoshop or traditional? Very very nice work!

[ Posted by footloose on Dec 12th, 2006 4:25 PM ]...

thanks for the crit on my comic... enough people have passed comment on the facial tones that I'd really better change them... greyscale would probably be a whole lot less hassle.

[ Posted by AbacusComics on Dec 12th, 2006 1:07 AM ]...

No worries, I'll get you the first edition. Thanks!

If you did I would die happy. :) You'd let me do the same right? Please say yes.
