Welcome all to the ComicSpace for MazzStudio!
2009 has been a year of change, and with that has come a changing of the guard. I have new projects and new ventures to pursue them with: Lift the weight of the World, join us at... Atlas Unleashed! After 18 years in the comics field, it is my great pleasure to announce a new publishing venture with my friends, Ed Pereira, Bob Sodaro, and Shawnti Therrien. We've decided to start small, and put a firm eye towards all aspects of how comics are published. This means that we're doing print-on-demand, e-commerce, enormous amounts of self-promotion, guerrilla-marketing, and anthologies to see what creators work best with others, etc... It's the most amount of FUN I've had in those 18 years, and I'm just getting started! Props to my best buds, Robert J. Sodaro, Melvin Ylagan, Ed Traquino, Matt C. Ryan, Mitch Waxman, Chris Torres, Shawnti Therrien, Marzan!, Phil Clark, Matt Mundorf, James Rodriguez, Michael De Lepine, James Webb, E.R. Flynn, Hector Rodriguez, Keith J. Murphey, Atula Siriwardane, and the Man himself... GREY! Comic Book Conventions.com Organizations: The Comicbook Artists Guild (CAG) CAG is a networking organization of artisans designed to bring talented comic book artists together — be they writers, colorists, inkers, pencilers, sculptors, web-designers or all of the above — to collaborate on a project of their choice. CAG is also a great place to meet with comic lovers to learn new tricks or techniques, or teach a few of your own! CAG is for anyone who loves comics and has the passion to create in any aspect of the field. www.comicartguild.org The HERO Initiative The organization is a publicly supported not-for-profit corporation under section 501(c) (3). The Hero Initiative (formerly known as A.C.T.O.R., A Commitment To Our Roots) started as a consortium of comic publishers with the idea to create a financial safety net for comic creators, much in the same fashion that exists in almost any other trade from plumbing to pottery.
