Now you just need another friend with a blue ring and you two can play "Wondertwins" all day long.

Hi. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm cooking up something that involves a schoolgirl heroine. I'll post stuff here as soon as I get something done. Thanks so much for your encouraging words. :-) |

I love the idea of a Cosmic Moustache. Although you have now ruined any chance for me to ever get my "All Powerful Mutton Chops" project off the ground.

It's so passe to say "Thanks for the Add!" now. So I will just say... "Much Appreciation for the acquisition."
I read through the samples of San Francisco Bay and really dug it. Compelling characters and really great drama. When/where can I pick up the full issues?
Now it's your turn... I think you may dig "The Life & Music of Roscoe Porter". You can read the whole story at the Melee Comics website for free. Chaos! is also totally fun but doesn't have a whole lot of meat to it as far as story goes.
Let me know what you think! Nathan with Melee Comics 1 Reply [ Latest posted on April 15th, 2007 1:18 PM ]

Thanks for the comments, Nathan; pimping for a publisher for the book at the moment.
I'll check out your stuff!

I love word balloon and really appreciate your interviewing style. I feel like I have a better grasp on who a creator is after your shows rather than just having listened to someone pimp out their latest project for an hour.
Also can I just say Kudos on what you've been doing with Around Comics lately? You help round out that group in a way that's really satisfying to listen to, and good lord are you funny after you've warmed up a bit.
Anywho dittos from Melee Comics, read our stuff when you have a chance, blah blah blah.

No need for testing when you have a real, honest to pete, comment on your page.
Looking forward to seeing more information about your upcoming book. |

I'm glad that you have found a way to have a backlog of pages worked up. We at Melee Comics still haven't quite figured that out yet. I think I need to buy a big bass drum and a whip to make sure I keep Ben on schedule.

03/23/2007 (Friday)
I'm going to start leaving blog posts in our comments for prosperity.
We've just finished the guts and cover for CHAOS! Phd. and are moving on to complete the additional seven page story that will be available in the print version of the comic. I don't want to give to much away but the additional story will involve the retrival (by some particularly agile waterfowl) of Chaos! from deep space.
Next on the hitparade will be getting the hard copies of the book printed. We will be trying to keep the cost on the books (including shipping) to around $5 so that anyone will be able to afford to read the addtional story.
Lastly I wanted to announce an upcoming contest. On the back cover of Chaos we will be printing a couple of soundbites of critical acclaim for the book. We would also like to include ONE and only one comment from a fan about the book. We always like to get feedback about the book but the best comment (about a sentence long) recieved from today until the printing of the book (late May early June) will be printed on and shipped with every book sold.
So get to it... Nathan with Melee Comics |

I love the dark and all too believable feel that you have created in MP. I'm interested to see where things go next.

Howdy Josh, I like the friends list the way it is for the most part and I love being able to apply my own tags to friends.
What would like though is a way to search through my friends based on the tags that they have given themselves either through a search or pull down menu.
Thanks for everything! |

I heard a podcast interview you did recently and it is nice you know you are just a geek like the rest of us. Kudos to everything you do Josh, you are truly the wind beneath my proverbial wings.
P.S. If you ever allow a blog with an RSS feed attached you will officially make my MySpace account obsolete. |

Fuck you for the add dittos from Melee Comics.
I am certainly not saying that you are the only reason to listen but if I were on the fence you are certainly the reason that would change my mind.
Make it do what it do baby.

Thanks for your comment. I don't like to think of us as competition so much as allies in the war against not selling comics.
I am reading Shades right now and I really dig the dark feel of it so far. Please let us know what you think of "Chaos!" at http://www.meleecomics.com when you get a chance. 1 Reply [ Latest posted on December 23rd, 2006 4:52 PM ]

LOL - we're all allies in that particular war!
It's funny - I never thought of "Shades" as being dark when I was writing it (despite the title!) but I have had that comment from a few people. I know it has dark moments but overall ... oh hey, I'd better not say what happens next!
I've read the beginning of "Chaos!" (which is cool - no pun intended!) and have ear-marked it to read fully when I have more time. Nice start. |
