I'm just a guy who is probably me, but I could be you and not me. In which case I want my underpants back you dirty, dirty monkey.

I'm a freelance writer who has done some work in roleplaying games as well as prose fiction. I also previously wrote a colum for Comic Avalanche, (http://www.comicavalanche.com) but it usually just winds up being about my threatening to kick people in the junk and/or kidnap editors. I'm probably not a very well adjusted person... which probably explains why I'm currently working on developing a new comic project.

My current project is a one-shot tentatively title Metawolrd. Rather than ramble on about it I'll just share an excerpt from my notes:

Metaworld takes place in a world similar to any superhero comic. There are people in capes and cowls, alien invasions and supernatural incursions. However that's not what the story focuses on. The story is concerned with Cecil Blithe. Cecil is a reluctant metahuman, cursed with the ability to see events that have taken place in the recent past. Which is useful in any number of ways, but Cecil doesn't care. Instead he took a job with an insurance company, and works as a claims investigator. His job is to verify that the any damage or injury is a legitimate metahuman-related event. He then has to verify that the metahuman(s) are bonded with either the government or private agency - if they're not it's almost impossible to get the company Cecil works for to pay out on a claim.

Hi there! We’re starting up this year’s Small Press Idol…and wanted to invite you to the grand unveiling of this year’s Guidelines. I apologize for the all-in-one nature of this. At this time, individuals and teams have a little over a month to get things together and be ready to post their Round 1 entries. Round 1 will last till March 25th. It’s a solid window to get a project together and qualified for Round 2 past our judge panel. If you are interested in being a contestant, this is fair warning to get a project going!
If you are a news outlet or resource of any sort, we invite you to help spread the word about Small Press Idol, and get on the official Sponsors and Supporters list on the Idol Main Page. Traditionally, the page has gotten hundreds of thousands of hits a month for the 5 months the contest runs. All we ask in return for the link placement on our prominently placed list, is a link back in some way that is fairly prominent, and that you indeed cover the contest if you are a news site. You can contact us about that right from the guidelines page.
Just want to watch the show? That’s great! Now is time to sign up at the site so you can VOTE in the rounds to come, and post comments about your favorites! We’re expecting hundreds of contestants this year. It should be a lot of fun!

Hope this message reaches you in the spirit it was intended, you are welcome to ask questions, and otherwise make sure this is for real. This is the fourth year for the SPI. Last year’s contest pages are still online. So that’s what this is about, hope it interests you!

Thanks for sharing! I'm forever in and out of various bands, the vast majority of them "Loud but not good" as well. I don't think i ever put F"Fetus" in the band name before -- maybe that was the problem?
