Hey Michael. Thanks for the add. Nice to meet someone with such similar interests - I just recently submitted my first piece of design 'criticism'. All the best!

Hello again, Joel. And thanks again for having visited Will Eisner for Education of a Comics Artist. Even after a couple of years I'm still receiving positive feedback about that interview.

I hope to visit Memphis College of Art someday soon. And next time you're in LA be sure to stop by, say hi.

Warmest,
~ mike D

I'm glad to hear that people like the interview. It was my first time interviewing someone, unless you count a really, really awkward attempt at interviewing David Mazzucchelli when I was a student. And, of course, I was pretty danged nervous to be interviewing the mightiest of the mighty, Mr. Eisner.

Memphis College of Art would love to have you. Come on down! We'll feed you catfish.

Well, your interview with the mighty Eisner was mighty fine, sir.

And thanks for having created the Sweetie 'n Me strips, which are among the highlights of the "Project Romantic" anthology.

Mmmm... catfish!

Glad you enjoyed them, Emma.

And as someone very interested in the forms and potential of educational comics, I'm fascinated by what you're doing with Self-Made Hero. Please let me know about further Shakespeare and classics developments.

I just listened to your KPFK interview. Really cool. I'm always interested in comic art releated shows/events in the LA area.

Thank, Jim. I think your artwork is pretty cool. I love that loose, funky style. Best of luck with the graphic novel. Be sure to tell me when it's published.

And I'll be glad to let you know about upcoming events around town. I just sent you you some info via Private Message.

Later,
~ mike D

And I enjoy your art, Calan, which is outrageous in the best sense of the word. More power to you!

Thanks for the add, Michael. Had we ever had the pleasure of meeting previously at a con or anything? I can't remember... but that's not uncommon as I get older ;)

Heya, Stan. We may have run into each other at the San Diego Con. I've been attending since the El Cortez days. And this past July I was all over the place, moderating a bunch of panel discussions and doing book signings. So, yeah.

Hoping to see you again under more memorable circumstances,
~ mike D

Very cool. I'll be at the NY Comic Con in February in Artist Alley as well as MoCCA and most likely, San Diego in the Small Press (although if Ape Entertainment makes it out there, I may be spending a good chunk of time at their booth promoting SubCulture).
