Moonstone is really treating this classic character right. Rating: 4/5

Silvestre Szilagyi’s debut as on-going artist is simply beautiful and
in one or two frames reminds me of the greatest of Phantom
artists, Sy Barry.

Mike Bullock's Phantom, or Phantoms, presented in the book are masterful extrapolations on Lee Falk's original.

…an entertaining issue with gorgeous artwork from Szilagyi and Pedroza. More importantly… proof that Bullock is as much at home in the African jungle as he is in the Stuffed Animal Kingdom of LIONS, TIGERS & BEARS.

Mike
I picked up Lions, Tigers and Bears #1 and #2 this week and read them. I really enjoyed them. I putting them to the side to someday read to my twin nieces. They are three and a half right now, so the stories might scare them yet. Maybe in a few years they'll be up for it. I just wanted to introduce them to the world of comcis.

I enjoyed your Phantom story in issues 14 and 15. It was odd to see him back in the States but I liked being reminded that Kit didn't only come from the jungles of Bangala but from the midwest of the US.

Thanks, Lance. I'm happy you enjoyed it. I really want to have stories that are enjoyable to newcomers as well as long time Phans. Hopefully 14 & 15 go a long way towards that goal. :)

Thanks, Jason. I was a lot of fun to write. Maybe even more than it was to play on Sega. :)

I never had a Sega. I did have an Atari once ... waaay back in 1977 - 1978. We had really cool games like Pong and Space Invaders!!

I remember the first time I saw Pong, the first video game I'd ever seen. It was like watching science fiction come alive! LOL!
