I've been self-publishing the (print-only) indie comic booty since 1995, and I'm about to debut issue #21 this coming June at MoCCA (you can find me at the Trees & Hills table on the first floor).

Until the new issues are up at the distro, you can get back issues here (http://www.treesandhills.org/distro) and you can see other examples of my work in such varied places as Not My Small Diary #12 and #13 and Atomic Books' I Keee You!, and, less recently, Fun Facts and Food Geek. I also review for Xerography Debt and used to write for Popmatters.com a long time ago, right about the same time I published a comic strip called Helleborine that ran in the University of Delaware newspaper (mostly just so I could poke fun at literary theory). I write a regular column for Fleen.com, which is interesting so far (I update on Thursdays). I've also recently started a longer work to do with my experience living through the aftermath of a fatal shooting that one of my classmates committed in 1992.

Otherwise, I'm a printmaker and monster milliner (that's not the day job, though) and I, ridiculously enough, actually have a Ph.D. in funnybooks (go ahead, just ask me about my dissertation topic. I dare you.). I've been writing and lecturing about comics for about a decade at such varied places as the University of Delaware, where I finished my grad work, SPX/ICAF, the PCA, and, in a wickedly funny coda to my grad school experience, the 2005 MLA convention in Washington, D.C. Ha!

And I rejected my art school acceptance! Quit before I even got there...and you can tell every time I try to draw a telephone.
