Mack-fact of the moment: I have a big fat head, and all the cool hats won't fit over it. It is large because it is filled with smarts, and also because I butt heads with Pachycephalosauruses.
About the Comic Plugged Nickel is a little comic done in my spare time, circulating around the lives of a few anthropomorphic university friends as they live their lives and the usual boring stuff you find in "real life" comics. The comic centers on the title character Mycroft Nickel, a 20-something beaver guy who just doesn't seem to have much luck with women or life in general. Sounds pretty familiar, huh? (I never said I was really origional). The comic tries to stear clear of topical, gaming and political humour, mainly so that it's still marginably readible in a few years time. It's a drama / comedy that isn't very dramatic or funny. About the Author Ronald MacKinnon is in his early 20s, spending what little time that isn't devoted to working or sleeping, in his parents basement reading webcomics and writing his own in a procrastinating fashion. He is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University with a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Sociology and a few art courses including Art 385: Cartooning. With such a weighty degree from such a prominant university, his career options are limitless... which is why he works as a stockboy / cashier at the grocery store 100 yards from his house for minimum wage. Ronald is an overweight, self-centered and often arrogant person who refuses to admit he draws a furry comic, claiming it to be little more than cartoon characters. He also smells kinda bad after 1 o'clock unless he puts on some pit stick, even after showering in the morning. Obviously, he is quite single, though straight despite his furry-in-denial status (a rarity indeed). Ronald prefers self-depricating humour. Pain is the basis of all comedy, and all comedy comes from someone being harmed. So he figures it might as well be himself. Despite appearences, he does not enjoy speaking in the third person. Alright, enough of that. As far as community stuff, here's how I break stuff down. NEW RULE: - If you've got more than half of CS added as friends and you send me a friends request, I'm not going to approve adding you unless you prove you're a reader or something. I've already recieved 3 requests like this, and frankly I think it kind of cheapens the whole thing. I want to use the friends thing to help keep in touch with artists I know and artists I'd like to get to know, instead of it being some big competition to see who has the most "friends". Contact: - I have several IM programs, post at a whole bunch of forums and I even have a Live Journal (WHAT A SURPRISE), so I'm not hard to get ahold of. Though I prefer to have actual conversations rather than just random foolishness or im bored do u liek dashbord confessinal???? This contact information can be found on the "contact" page of my website. Criticism: - Giving - I don't usually give it unless prompted, but I can be a bit cutting if it's warrented. I'll try to give good objective criticism if asked. - Receiving - More than welcome, though I will say this; I much prefer constructive criticism over lol u suck furfag. If you see something that I can improve on, go right ahead and mention it. Just try to show some tact. And for the record, I already know about update schedual / colour, so no need to mention it. Links: - I link to comics I read, with few exceptions. Will I do link exchanges? Sometimes, though they haven't worked well in the past. I don't tell people when I link to them because to me that seems kind of greedy, like this bigger comics have to show their gratitude for my 5 hits a week. So if you see a comic on my links page, you follow it and you like it, tell the artist how much you like their work and maybe mention me when you do. I come off as a bit of an ass, but I'm honestly just trying to say what needs to be said. I'm honestly a fairly nice guy, honest. A bit greedy for fanart and such, but nice enough I guess. And not having a Myspace, I don't have much experience with this sort of template. But you can rest assured that I won't make it into some laggy, eye-searing mishmash of awfulness. That and I can't get the glitter text to work. :( mycroft's BulletinsDisplaying 1-3 of 3 bulletins...
