Thanks for the invite! Do not fret too much on the Christmas issue... it is good to be concerned, but remember it all starts with our 'heart condition'... where we our heart to be. While we don't [I]want[/i] to fail, we will and that's where His Grace comes in.
Remember to "keep Christmas in our hearts" and what the really means.

There are so many obstacles to what Christmas should mean that sometimes it can get overwhelming. I need to make Christmas a quest most years, fighting my way through what doesn't matter to discover again what the core of Christmas and Christendom is. Sometimes we lose our way and need to find the path that leads out; Christmas is a time where we are picked up and thrust into a foreign land, but we need to keep going IN to find what is really there, beneath all the trappings.

Venting about the problems of Christmas is fine, but make sure it is in tandem with moving forward in the journey toward the core. Too many people have been buried by the weight of it all. Venting should be a release, and a way of making sure your fellow wayfarers are still with you, and you can collectively refocus your efforts. Keep moving toward the core.

It is GOOD. It is WONDERFUL. But it is buried, most times. We need to keep digging. It can be very deep, that's true, but it is there. It will always be there. And it's so very much worth it.
