Well I sent out 48 portfolio packets to various editors at Marvel, DC and Darkhorse and got 1 reply back from DC, 1 Reply from Wildstorm, and a generic reply from Darkhorse that had some useful information. The two from DC/Wildstorm were nice, basically said the same thing "I'm on the right track/ Well on my way, a lot of the stuff is nice but need to work on a few things" and asked me to send them some more stuff down the road. So I wanted to get some commissions out of the way, then I was going to get back to doing some sequentials.

I was at the big show in Calgary at the end of April; didn't make the trade show in Edmonton the week before that because I attended the NYCC. If you get a chance you should try to make it to Pure Spec (http://www.purespec.org/) in Edmonton in October -- previous years have featured a lot of great comics-centred programming.
