| Bulletin: | Tomorrow sees the release of POSTCARDS: TRUE STORIES THAT NEVER HAPPENED from Random House/Villard. It hits book store shelves tomorrow and the direct/comics market on Wednesday. POSTCARDS is edited by the suave and dapper Jason Rodriguez and festooned (yes, I said it) with excellent stories from the likes of Antony Johnston, Rick Spears, Harvey Pekar, Tom Beland, Phil Hester, Joshua Fialkov and your BROWNSVILLE dream team, myself and Jake Allen. Have a gander at the amazing website (http://www.postcardsanthology.com) and then rush out this week and buy copies today. Maybe three! Also, this weekend is the bigtime San Diego comic to film bazaar in which hopeful young cartoonists offer ink-stained posteriors to bemused Hollywood executives in the faint hopes that somewhere between the screwing is a fat paycheck and bastard fame. God, I wish I was one of them. If you're there, head to the Random House booth and get your copy of POSTCARDS signed by a variety of creators in attendance. I will be here, envying you all as I write through the tears and finish the latest Harry Potter book of which I'm pages away from doing (SPOILER: He does magic!). |
