Whatever Happened to COFFIN?

So, as you might have noticed, I haven't been updating my serialized novel, COFFIN, since May. While many of you may be thinking that I've been slacking off, working on other projects or playing my Wii, that couldn't be further from the truth.

The thing is, folks, I'm nearly done with it. Almost done with my first novel. Let that roll around your tongue for a bit and tell me it doesn't feel good.

But as I near the final pages and revise the first 340 pages or so, I realized that tossing the whole thing up online is a bit counterproductive to trying to get it into the marketplace, and by 'I realized' I mean 'my people pointed out'. Yes, I have people. They think they can sell the book. I'd like to let them.

The other thing is, while revising the first two acts I changed and rewrote a lot of it and posting the chapters that come after the revision won't make sense based on what's up online - essentially the rough first draft. I added subplots and expanded the factual research involved and, well, the new chapters don't jibe with what I've posted in the past.

That being said, I'm going to be taking the archive down, say, by Labor Day. You've all gotten a good, healthy start and still have time to read what's up there from the very beginning. Enjoy it while it lasts. I hope you pick up the complete book when it finally makes it's way out into the world, whenever that may be.

I want to thank all of you faithful readers out there - I hope you've enjoyed it thus far. Honestly, without readers it would just be me, a computer and words inside my head. Thanks for giving me an outlet these last two years.
