FOUR! TALES FROM THE CRYPT and HOUSE OF TWELVE #4

I feel like I've just graduated. Seriously, I've been working on my novel, COFFIN, for a good, long time. As I remarked this weekend, I've had a longer relationship with this book than with my wife. So, writing those last words, getting that last chapter out of my head and onto the page felt like racing to a finish line, hand stretching out to break that ribbon and finally stop running.

But, of course, all I did when I broke that ribbon was start another race.

For instance, this December sees the release of TALES OF THE CRYPT #4, featuring a story entitled "Extra Life" illustrated by Chris Noeth that explores the thin line between fantasy and reality when it comes to MMPORG games. The book is in the October copy of Diamond PREVIEWS, is 'Certified Cool', and also has work from James Romberger, Marguerite Van Cooke and Rick Parker. The cover is here:

This week, at the Small Press Expo in Bethesda, House of Twelve Comics releases the fourth volum, this time focusing on WAR! As the press release says, <i>"the fourth issue of the semi-annual anthology series tells 'true-life' tales of combat in the best way imaginable: through autobiographical comics. Follow our regular cast of creators as they retell their adventures after returning from being drafted into THE GREAT WAR and learn the truth behind the THE GOVERNMENT’S plans of spreading democracy across the Multiverse."</i> My four page story is called "Christbusters" and I'm quite happy with the way it came out. The book is 64 pages and sells for $7.95. The cover, illustrated by Dazzlin' Danny Hellman, looks like this:

Also, don't forget that I have stories on the stands in NEGATIVE BURN #12 and #13, with art by Jamesmith and Dash Shaw respectively, issue 13 just came out last week!
