Hey Mike! Thanks for the add. I think the local guy you're thinking about was Robert Brown. I know he did a few jobs for Marvel, but I don't know what happened to him later.
My buddy Alex used to work with a local guy named John Hixon who did some work for Marvel back in the 90's too. It seems like he's about to get back in the game now. He's made some connects with guys like Bob Schreck and I think he's going to one of the upcoming WizardWorld shows to do some more networking.
