My name is Michael, but my friends call me Mick. I'm a freelance writer trying to get my first comic work published titled Roy. Here's a blurb about Roy:

Roy is the story of an abused, sociopathic teenager who murders the girl of his dreams after finding out she was forced into inviting him to take her to their school's spring formal.

I'm big fan of film noir, mostly the films of Martin Scoresese, and the comic works of Frank Miller, Brian Azzarello, Ed Brubaker, Brian Michael Bendis.

I'm also a big fan of drama, and a proponent that drama is important to comics, and my favorite dramatists are Brian K. Vaughan, John Lindley Byrne, J. Michael Straczynski, Stan Lee, and the film works of Clint Eastwood, Stephen Spielberg, and James Cameron.
