Hmmm...whatever shall I fill this blank stuff with?

First off, the "scholar" thing. I've been mulling over a paper I want to write. Since I'm not really finding any sort of academic program that it fits into, I'm just gonna write it, and see where it goes. I believe that superhero teams' gender roles are for the most part, bad representations of both genders. I plan on comparing a few bad examples, and giving a few examples of books that do it right. The next step is seeing how these portrayals influence sales. My plan is to present the paper at San Diego in 2008, but since I'm only just now starting the research gathering phase, we'll see if that's a reasonable goal.

And now, everything else. As a comic book reader, and a fantasy fan, I'm sad that there isn't a quality fantasy comic book out there. Maybe there is, and I just don't know about it. I would love to read it. But if there isn't, I would love to write it. Now if only I could figure out what exactly I should write.
