Occasional Superheroine has worked in and around comic books since she was a teenager, and possesses arcane knowledge about the Bottle City of Kandor that no woman should ever know. At Acclaim Comics she helped edit "Shadowman" and "Magnus Robot Fighter" and at DC Comics she assisted on such titles as "Justice League of America" and "Identity Crisis."

Following her departure from DC, she became a popular Internet commentator on women and comics, both on other websites and her own blog Occasional Superheroine. In November of 2006 she suddenly had a "When Selina Got Her Groove Back" moment and launched a series of posts on her blog entitled “Goodbye To Comics.”

Since launching “Goodbye To Comics," Occasional Superheroine's blog has logged in almost 90,000 hits and as linked to by almost 170 blogs.

On "Goodbye To Comics":

"...the most important thing to happen in comics in my memory."
-- Second Verse

"...this woman's autobiography is tighter, funnier, sadder and more interesting than 95% of the titles I've seen at my local comic book shop."
-- Barbalith Underground

"I laughed, I cried, I went temporarily insane, I regained said sanity, and then I laughed again."
-- Paperback Reader

"Honestly, this is the most f**ked up, completely fascinating stuff I have read in quite some time. I implore everyone to check this woman's tale..."
-- Newslined

"This blog has to be one of the most powerful piece of writing I have ever read. It is raw emotion transcribed into the electronic medium like I have never seen."
-- Tales From The Longbox

"...a funny, tragic, engaging and unforgettable story of one young woman’s life in comics."
-- Postmodern Angst

"Best Damned Thing on the Internet Right Now..."
-- Demosthenes

"It's depressing, enraging, sickening, and eloquent as hell.

-- Whereof One Can Speak

I'll one-up 'interesting' with 'fascinating.' Lot of food for thought in there. Thanks!
