| Bulletin: | Here are the latest updates to Panel Discussion. Sorry for the late posting....it's been a busy weekend! All of these articles went live on Friday, January 26th. Girls Vol. 3: Survival by the Luna Bros., review by Jason Green: "For the third volume in a four-part series, there's always a fear that the book will tread water, that not much of anything will happen as the story is padded out in anticipation of the big finale. I'm happy to report that this is most definitely not the case with the Luna Brothers' survival horror epic Girls, whose third volume, Survival, is the most intense chapter yet." In the Studio: Visits With Contemporary Cartoonists by Todd Hignite, review by Byron Kerman: "This copiously-illustrated volume from Comics Art's Todd Hignite explores the fuel behind the creative fire of some of comics' biggest creators, from R. Crumb and Art Spiegelman to Charles Burns and Chris Ware." The Law of Ueki Vol. 2-3 by Tsubasa Fukuchi, review by me: "The first volume barely dipped its toes into the water, but these two volumes transform this lighthearted action series into one of the most action-packed, fun-filled comics on the stands." First Look | Marvel Comics second printings and freebies: "The House of Ideas is a little stingy with the interior art this week, but they've passed along a look at the new covers to a smattering of second printings for some of their hottest titles, plus a look at what Marvel will have to offer on this year's Free Comic Book Day." |
