Yeah, always good to see comics getting props in the local media. Have you followed our comics coverage? We've been at it since August of '05, and we've been weekly since September of '06.

Actually, I'm still fairly new to the review game, and haven't followed a lot of coverage anywhere outside of Comic Buyer's Guide and the reviews I used to read by Alex Ness at PopThought.com before I took over his job there. Hey man, thanks for checking the site out! Playback isn't my site....it actually started out as a magazine distributed in and around St. Louis back in 2002, I think, and I joined the staff in 2004, doing CD and live concert reviews. I convinced them to start a comics section, which I've headed up since it started in August of '05. The print magazine went away late last year, and we've been web-only ever since. I still head up the comics coverage, and I also do CD, concert, and movie reviews, and the occasional interview with musicians, too. It's a lot of fun!

I agree with pretty much every word you said about Hellshock in today's column, by the way. I loved that 2nd Hellshock miniseries so much that it was excruciaiting waiting for the 4th issue that would never come. It's interesting to hear your crits of the new "last" issue that's been added to the trade; I haven't read it yet, of course, but despite your mixed reaction I'm still really looking forward to it.
