Hey howdy, welcome to my page at ComicSpace. Though I'm first a fan and reader, I'm also a comics creator in my spare time. In 2007 I wrote and illustrated a weekly humor serial called PEEBEEGEE, a sendup of DC Comics' "52" series and a tour of the DC-Q. Those strips are compiled, along with earlier action figure fumetti comics, at my site Paradise Bar & Grill. The first thirty strips of the peebeegee series are included here at ComicSpace, but to read the concluding pages you'll need to visit my website.

I'm a longtime comics geek, who started reading in the late Sixties and hasn't really stopped since then. My first comics love was DC's Wonder Woman, and I started her title in the middle of her de-powered, Mod days. I was a fan of the Lynda Carter TV program, and when the series was enjoying a revival on the fX Network in the early 90's, I began an unofficial guide for episodes, etc. Though I sent some drafts to DC's rights and permissions office, I just didn't have the professional panache to sell them on the idea.

Since my guide book wouldn't see print, I was eager to see it self-published on the Web. This came to pass in 1996, with the first of several websites devoted to Wonder Woman, "The Wonder Woman TV Guide." I eventually bought my own domain, SufferingSappho.com, which has grown over the years. The WW TV Guide is no more (there were better references online, I concede), but I still maintain a site at SufferingSappho.

Though I was once a fan of DC and Marvel, the latter company alienated me as a reader, throughout the 90's. The stupid gimmicks and glut of X-books forced me out of the "House of Ideas," and I've never really had the desire to go back. These days I still read Wonder Woman, plus a selection of other DC titles. My taste in comics seldom veers from the superhero genre, but I still get a lot of mileage out of books like Transmetropolitan, Promethea, and Fables.

Well, my face still hurts from laughing.

Pretty demented stuff but brilliant too.

Hey Mark, thanks for the great feedback. There's lots more of the strip on the way, so I hope you'll check back. I'll stop on by your CS page to see what you've got going too.
