| Bulletin: | Atlantis Studios announced today that Benjamin Barak will direct "Paula Peril and The Invisible Evil", the second of three new live action short films adapted from its popular comic book series The Adventures of Paula Peril. This film is a sequel to the popular "Mystery of the Crystal Falcon" released in March 2009. Benjamin Barak is a writer, producer, and director with over 12 years of experience in digital media. He has directed commercials for Airtran, Coca Cola, and ESPN, and co-created FARKtv for Turner Studios, where he produced, directed and co-wrote over 150 episodes in a two-year span. He's had short films featured on AOL, CNN, VH1's Best Week Ever, USA Today, & ESPN. He has developed live action series and pilots for Turner and Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. "We are very pleased to have Ben's involvement in the next live action Paula Peril adventure", said Executive Producer James Watson, "He brings great experience in making compelling and entertaining short films. This time, we will step up the action and the humor and give the fans what they've asked for: more Paula, more peril!" "Paula Peril and the Invisible Evil" will be cast and filmed entirely in the North Atlanta area. Fan favorite Valerie Perez will return in the starring role, and act as Producer. The film is currently in pre-production, with shooting scheduled for this fall. To receive regular production updates on Paula Peril films, sign up for her Mailing List at: www.paulaperilseries.com |
