o/!!!WELCOME, 2007! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! o/Hi, Everybody! My name is Petra Leão and I live in São Paulo, Brazil -- writing for comics and magazines since the year 2000. I wrote a few special issues for Brazilian manga titles such as Holy Avenger, Dado Selvagem ("Wild Dice" in a direct translation) and Mercenário$ (Merc$), and also the Victory series, published already in the US, and drawn by the gifted Eduardo Francisco. Meanwhile, I also work writing for other manga, anime and RPG themed magazines. Right now I'm with Animation Invaders, a magazine with reviews of anime, mangas and other cool stuff like that ;D I've been into comics since my childhood, and love them all -- even though I end up working mainly in the manga genre, all comic genres and styles are close to my heart! I hope to share a few of my comics online soon, so we can all chat a bit about them and I can hear about your impressions. Quanto às HQ´s, faz tempo que não são publico nada em papel. Todas as minhas HQ´s já publicadas saíram pela editora Talismã (você ainda pode comprá-las via correio). Mas tomara que em breve eu volte a publicar algo em bancas.
Tem alguns trabalhos menores que eu pretendo passar pro inglês e colocar online assim que for ativada a opção de hospedar HQ aqui no comicspace. Por isso tou muito ansiosa esperando o Josh acionar logo esse negócio! XD

Hey there Petra, how are you? Well I like the fact that you've written for several magazines and done other stuff, very interesting. But as far as comics and reading goes, what kind of stuff are you into? With me, I like scifi, biographies, fiction and horror mostly. A wide variety. But anyway, just stopping by to say hey. Well, I like a lot of things too... Here in Brazil I wrote a lot of stories in fantasy-"RPG"-style. I´m very envolved with manga, but as I say in my profile, I like all the styles -- cartoons, super heroes, graphic novels... =) |
