In the ancient lands of Ur there roamed a class of warrior wizards, whose sole mission was to enlighten the world through their arcane scribblings and mystical arts. Swords in hand, pens at the ready, these Wizards of Ur were a remarkable force with unrivaled powers. Their like, it was said, would not walk the earth again until the time of humanity's direst need.

Artists Nate Piekos (Atland), James V. West (Pan-Gea), A.P. Furtado (Elf'n'Troll) and Chuck Whelon (Pewfell), 4 of the world's leading creators of cartoon fantasy webcomics, have decided to combine forces and start a new sketch blog as The Wizards of Ur. Our mission is to provide our readers with oodles of that mouth-watering, cartoony, sci-fi/fantasy comix goodness that they love.

If you’re a fan of comics and art in the tradition of Vaugn Bodé or Les Humanoïdes Associés, your eyes will soon be popping out of your skull as we’re oath-sworn to frequently post our latest sketches, completed comic pages and relics from the archives as we take that old-school style into the 21st century.
