pinguino
I run a studio called Penguin Palace, where we publish indy comics, zines, and online magazines. Our projects have included Tori Do, Flippersmack, and System Failure. Currently we're working on a huge art show set for the fall in NY and LA, as well as a clothing line and art book. I'm the staff photographer at Comic Book Resources and can usually be found at ComiCon, NYCC, APE, Wizard World LA, Anime Expo, DefCon, Siggraph and CES. I live in Los Angeles and do webdesign at NBC Universal. I'm also the Industry Ninja on deviantART. Penguin Palace: http://www.penguinpalace.com artwork: http://pinguino.deviantart.com photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/pinguino/sets/I'm hiring a letterer for Tori Do if anyones interested. Send me a sample and a rate.

I don't disagree, but I want to know why you think so! I mean... A bajillion is a lot of ways. |

Thanx for the add :)
The way you feel about penguins is the way I feel about platypuses!
I may tattoo one on my leg someday. |

Hi Penguino . Thanks alot for the speedy reply . Cool . Well, I was in New York last year in May for the New York Comic Book Spectacular . Unfortunately New York didn't think my book was that spectacular because I only managed to sell 9 copies . Ughh . It has detered me from visiting there any time soon . I have to let time pass before I make another trip out there . As for San Diego, I have yet to make it out there . But if I ever do, I will definitely run into you . Well, I'll try my best to run into you . Well, keep in touch and all that good stuff and junk . Later .
Nino. Oh yeah, thanks again for being my friend . |

Hi there! We’re starting up this year’s Small Press Idol…and wanted to invite you to the grand unveiling of this year’s Guidelines. I apologize for the all-in-one nature of this. At this time, individuals and teams have a little over a month to get things together and be ready to post their Round 1 entries. Round 1 will last till March 25th. It’s a solid window to get a project together and qualified for Round 2 past our judge panel. If you are interested in being a contestant, this is fair warning to get a project going! If you are a news outlet or resource of any sort, we invite you to help spread the word about Small Press Idol, and get on the official Sponsors and Supporters list on the Idol Main Page. Traditionally, the page has gotten hundreds of thousands of hits a month for the 5 months the contest runs. All we ask in return for the link placement on our prominently placed list, is a link back in some way that is fairly prominent, and that you indeed cover the contest if you are a news site. You can contact us about that right from the guidelines page. Just want to watch the show? That’s great! Now is time to sign up at the site so you can VOTE in the rounds to come, and post comments about your favorites! We’re expecting hundreds of contestants this year. It should be a lot of fun!

Hope this message reaches you in the spirit it was intended, you are welcome to ask questions, and otherwise make sure this is for real. This is the fourth year for the SPI. Last year’s contest pages are still online. So that’s what this is about, hope it interests you!

I just discovered your stuff. I really like it. You have a very cool, unique style. That Ryoko painting is amazing. If you ever do a gallery show in the LA area... |

Hah, I had not seen an elephant since the zoo a few years back. LOL!
I was lucky to go to that small deal show the other day, where I just happened to bump into B. Clay Moore. I found a signed John Byrne comic, it was cool.... |

Yeah, Webster and Gravy act like brothers, it is funny. I hug all of my cats every day.
Your so lucky, working at Universal and stuff, that must be a cool gig.
