I build things.

As an engine of relentless creativity, these things in question include–but are not limited to–rayguns, plays, pulp heroes. swords, puppets, costumes, one-man shows, toys, gourmet meals, and otherworldly devices. These thing have been known to change the lives of many, save the lives of a few, and generally assist whenever needed, much like their creator. I have been known to inspire super powers and detectives. I have performed in two circuses, one of which was my own. my writing and artwork has been published in just about every format currently available. Some of it has won awards, applause and accolades from people who really ought to know better than to
encourage me.

A founder member of the daily flash-fiction website 365 TOMORROWS, I am also the writer and producer of two science-fiction podcasts:

The Voice Of Free Planet X

My fiction, done up short and sweet with background music and other audio enhancements. Also, a themematically apropriate song at the end to compliment the story.

Aliens You Will Meet

A short-short podcast involving the continuing advice of a Precognitive Meeting Planner to hapless diplomat as they cross the galaxy.

My autobiographical comic, Autobiologic, can be found here and at my website, www.jaredaxelrod.com

I am not domestic, I am a luxury, and in that sense, necessary.

I wanted to take some time in this new year to thank you folks for your support of me and my little comic strip Town Called Dobson. We crossed the 500th Strip threshold this past year, got printed in some great independent newspapers, got to show off how I create TCD at Adobe over the summer and the continued presence in the blogosphere is always a blessing. Without your support, readership and emails, TCD would never have made it so long. It is with the deepest heart I thank you all. It is vital that progressive issues are represented in editorial cartooning, especially in these days of dwindling news readership.

Your consistent support and strip devotion has earned Town Called Dobson a 2008 Weblog Award Nomination for Best Webcomic. I am stunned to be nominated and I am sure Karl Rove was secretly working behind the scenes to kill the nomination off, but "Hope" wins again!
