  Howdy, howdy, comic-fans! My name is Jared Moraitis -- lifelong comics fan and illustrator just graduated (in May) from the illustration program at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. I am also the ex-manager of Pop Comics and Games, also in Sarasota, which means I got to do all the ordering, reordering, subscription stuff, and I got to read lots of comics for free!! Alas, my employment with Pop has ended due to a job-related move, so my comics-buying budget has taken a big hit. Not that I have much time for reading these days -- most of my free time is spent trying to get decent steady illustration jobs and working on t-shirt designs for POP-MONKEY STUFF t-shirts and more (which will eventually rake in enough cash so I can buy that helicopter I've always wanted)! I also like to write stories and create concepts, and I've got many I'm working on, possibly for animated or comic book series. I'm too slow, and there's too many for me to draw them myself, however, so I'd be interested in hooking up with talented pencillers and colorists to make this happen! What I do mostly, though, is designs for t-shirts, character concepts, pinups and poster design, etc. Creativity practically leaks from my nostrils and oozes from my pores, I'm so backed up with it! Yeah your stuff is really nice. I love the angular, graphic quality to it. It's good to see an illustrator that is very good at lettering and abstract lettering as well as anatomy. Good stuff. Thanks for the friend add. |
