| Bulletin: | Yesterday the comic community lost one of our own. Artist Mike Wieringo died of an apparent heart attack at the age of 44. It would be next to impossible to list everything Ringo accomplished in the industry, but suffice it to say his hands put their touch on nearly every major character DC or Marvel has from Spider-man to the Avengers to Superman to the Fantastic Four. Not to mention co-creating Impulse with Mark Waid. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Ringo a couple of times at various conventions. As well as being an incredibly talented artist, he was the consummate gentleman. Mike took the time to sign every book, shake every hand and chat with every fan who came by. My deepest condolences go out to his family and those who knew him well. He will be missed.  |
