Your site's coming together nicely, my friend!
I'll send you some of your old art next week when I have the advantage of works Broadband. I'm guessing you probably don't want to display the Primary School stuff eh?
Just sent you a new three pager. Look forward to seeing your artistic interpretation.
It's the highlight of my year to be working with you again. Welcome back, Stu! |

I adore your stuff. I'd kinda like it if these comics came to life, personified as a human being, so that I could marry it and make it happy forever. So, good work! 1 Reply [ Latest posted on December 14th, 2007 4:33 AM ]

Much appreciated.
Though I fear that if you were to marry any of my strips, it would lead to a very bitter divorce, and a custody battle for the deranged mutant children. |

Might be a while before I get the chance to do more comic scripts, due to the other big project we're all working on together (which is going very well indeed).
Should have more time free after Halloween though (as that's also the date for release of issue 2 of the 100% Biodegradable anthology I'm working on).
You and Stu Smith came along at just the right time, it seems. |

The Jesus Hates Zombies anthology seems to be shaping up nicely. I always enjoy the previews. You've marketed the series pretty well, and recruited some damn fine artists by the looks of things. |

The Fuzzmeister joined up yesterday, and can be found at comicspace.com/phuz
Presently he's experimenting with 3d packages, so I'm sure there'll be some right good eyepopping art from him soon. |

Cheers, Dave.
Expect to see a lot more toons as the weeks progress, and hopefully a few new animations. Also keep your eyes peeled at Rokcomics.com, where most of my three panellers (plus a whole load of new stuff) will be appearing as downloadable mobile phone toons.
Let me know when the urge takes you to put together another Lost Property (I need my fix of Big Dog). |

Hiya Neill.
Out of curiosity, do you still have the pencils for that Poor Taste strip we did together a fair few years ago? As I'd quite like to see if I can get it reinked (maybe by Dave Morris) and then sent to Best New Manga, as I reckon it could fit in quite well there (if they're doing a new volume?).
I've already sent Ilya some of me and Tony Suleri's new stuff. |
 |
[ Posted by Thumpculture on May 1st, 2007 6:12 AM ]...
I'll see if I can dig the pencils out but I have a nasty feeling they may be lost to the mists of time... indeed, can't remember if I kept the originals or sent them on for inking in the first place... |
 |
[ Posted by purecrass on May 1st, 2007 8:23 AM ]...
No worries. The only version I have of Poor Taste is what was printed in Meanwhile, which would be too small to copy and send anywhere. Though it might be the right size to transform into mobile comics for John Freeman's latest venture. If you're okay with this Neill, I may give it a try. |

Cheers Lew.
The main reason I became a writer in the first place was based on the praise I got at primary school for a short story I wrote called 'Tom Thug In The Computer World' (based on your classic 'Oink' comic character). It was naturally a pretty terrible piece of writing, but all the other kids loved it...and so began my venture into comedy writing and cartooning.
So, thanks for getting me started there.
All the best! |

Mr Hailwood!!
It has been soooo long since we last communicated. How are things with you? Will you be attending any conventions this year?

Heya Shane.
You're right - it's been waaaay too long.
Glad to see you've got your own shop as well as distribution outlet. You're doing well, matey.
Is CAOF still going strong? To think it was the first small press comic to ever publish my work...(about ten years ago now. Bloomin' heck!)
Stay in touch mate, maybe I'll see you again at a convention when I can one day afford to go. |

Hi David,
In the end I wound down both Caof and Imagineers, and combined the two into my new mag...Incoming! This is now just a text mag with a few one page strips, as I now publish all my comics stuff as SCAR COMICS.
Check out our website at: www.scarcomics.com
I also help to organise the Birmingham International Comics Show. The site for that is at: www.thecomicsshow.co.uk
Would be great if you could make it along this year.
We are in the proccess of arranging organised coach trips to this year's show from the south too.
Anyway... it's good to see you on here, don't be stranger,
all the best, Shane www.smallzone.co.uk |
