Company diversifies into intellectual property ownership with launch of publishing division

(Santa Monica, Calif., October 31, 2007) – Quattro Media, Inc. announced today that it has formed Madness, a publishing company. “The formation of Madness is the first step for the company in becoming a diversified media business and content aggregator. We’ve already developed a great competency working on other people’s intellectual property. Now it’s time to invest that acumen into our own material,” commented Quattro head Jim Strader.

The publishing company will initially consist of two imprints: Madness and Malevolent.

Madness will focus on a broad range of fare including young adult and kids picture books. The new company’s first acquisition is Allie Carson: Interpreter Extraordinaire written by Marilyn Kinghorn. The company has also commissioned Quattro management client, noted playwright/feature writer Mark Troy to pen an untitled childrens’ picture book in the vein of “Night at the Museum.” “We’re even looking at bibles for animated shows that didn’t sell to turn them into picture books,” noted topper Jim Strader.

About imprint Malevolent: Throughout history, literature thought to have been provocative, daring or challenging to the status quo has been described as malevolent. Works that were banned were described as malevolent. In medieval Europe, any work of not adhering to a ruler’s own world view was ascribed as malevolent. Malevolent has been used to describe the works of Poe, Kinsey, and Hunter S. Thompson among others. The Malevolent imprint looks to build on that legacy and looks to publish daring and provocative work in fiction and non-fiction, novels and graphic novels.

“I grew up reading and loving authors like Mary Shelley and Poe, Bram Stoker and HG Wells. I was inspired reading books like Arabian Nights, Frankenstein and Dracula. The written word will always remain a wonderful means of artistic expression and the place where all entertainment begins,” Strader noted.

The goal of the company’s expansion plans is to grow intellectual property and exploit it across all media simultaneously. The publishing division will provide clients and others with an additional outlet for growth and challenge while simultaneously receiving greater creative freedom and financial rewards. The Company plans on aggressively ramping toward a publishing schedule of more than 100 titles per year.

ABOUT QUATTRO MEDIA

Founded in 2004, Quattro Media is a content company with management, production, consulting and publishing divisions. Company’s clients span all media, and range in size from individuals to institutional clients. The management division represents a wide variety of writers, directors, and content owners ranging from newcomers to established talent, larger production companies and corporations. The newly formed publishing division, Madness, will look to foster new literary voices in graphic novels, adult fiction, non-fiction and childrens’ books.
